The New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park requested a digital story to share tour information, historic landmarks, and other important information with children and families visiting the New Bedford area. This contract was a one-year illustration and publication layout design effort for the National Park Service (NPS). Ultimately, the goal was to create a simple, interactive narrative of old New Bedford, following a young boy named William and his exploration of the town.

Over the course of 12 slides, children are introduced to historic landmarks, locations, people, and the technology that was available at this time. In the end, the viewer is presented with a certificate of completion to download and print. The HTML interaction can be found here.
