Graphic Design:
Publication and Design
SRCA has extensive experience in creating handbooks and publications. This creative process ranges from conceptual design, including discussions and drafts with the client, to digital production of press and web-ready PDF documents of the final publication. SRCA’s design staff possess backgrounds in illustration, graphic design, web design, and pre-press production. You may rest assured knowing that our staff is able to confidently address all your design needs from start to finish.
Using software from the Adobe Creative Suite, such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, SRCA is able to handle all stages of pre-press production. Currently, SRCA supports worldwide programs in the development and design of handbooks, publications, and multimedia presentations.
Aviation Handbooks
SRCA has been tasked to redesign several aviation related handbooks. Since technology evolves so quickly, SRCA subject matter experts review, edit, and often rewrite existing handbook content. During this process, the graphic design department of SRCA works with the subject matter experts to create and/or edit photography, draw vector-based illustrations depicting complex mechanical details, and format submitted text. All of these elements are combined into one cohesive chapter and book format using Adobe InDesign.Once a handbook layout is complete, the content can then be exported for high-quality press production or as a lower resolution PDF document for web sharing.
Technical Manuals
Based on previous contracts with clients, SRCA is tasked to organize, compile, and redesign technical training user manual. Using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, the SRCA design staff pulled technical documents from many different sources and created a newly designed book. Graphics were redrawn when needed, text was presented in a more commercial format, and layouts were arranged to offer a more visually appealing design apart from most technical manuals in the government and military support industry.
